Dept. of Aging Requesting Fans
The Department on Aging needs fans donated to deliver to homebound
residents. Call 379-3451 to help.
Exams to be Given at Burkeville
Grade placement exams and credit-by-exam will be given through
the counselor's office at Burkeville High School by appointment
on July 29, 30. Exit level retest in all subjects will be given
July 15-18 at 8:30 a.m. at the school. For information call

Park Clean-Up Continues July 26
Everyone is invited to the Jesse Lee Park Community Clean-Up.
Bring your work tools, drinks, and a covered dish. We'll be
having dinner on the grounds for all workers. Donations gladly
accepted. Families are welcome to swim and help clean! We have
lots to do! We need saws to cut up old trees and trim. Also
mowers to cut the grass. For more information, call Harold Love

Teen Movie Night at the Library
Teen Movie Night at the Newton County Public Library (for ages
13-18) will be held Tuesday, July 29 from 5-7 p.m. TEENS THAT
ARE READING remember to bring your reading logs and turn them
in for the drawing. Refreshments will be served. Prizes and
gifts will be given to those attending.
Agape Christian Academy Enrolling
Agape Christian Academy, a private Christian school for grades
Kindergarten-12, is enrolling students for the upcoming school
year. Class will begin September 2. For more information, please

Lil Eagles Camp August 11-12
The Newton High School Cheerleaders will host their annual Lil
Eagles Camp on Monday and Tuesday, August 11 and 12 from 9 a.m.
until noon at the NHS gym. The camp is planned for girls ages
3 thru 6th grade. On Tuesday at noon, the girls will perform
for family and friends. Cost of the camp is $20. All girls
who attend the camp will perform at the first home football game.

Summer Day Camp July 25-26
Children's Summer Day Camp at the Christian Community Life Center
will be Friday and Saturday, July 25 and 26 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
each day with lunch included. There will be fun, high energy
games, creative bible stories, unique crafts, and just all around
fun! For ages 4 (by September 1) to those entering 6th grade
this year. The event is sponsored and administered by John Wesley
United Methodist Church of Houston and hosted by First United
